Satin moon is the new series of enhanced performance casement windows designed by Profils Systèmes.

Designed to comply with the new regulations on thermal insulation scheduled to come into effect in 2012, Satin Moon optimises energy saving by taking advantage of heat generated by sunlight, which also helps to reduce energy consumption in building.

The contemporary design is complemented by straight, clean sight-lines and a chic elegance that offers architects new creative design solutions.

Product Concept

 

Satin Moon® is a new casement frame window system designed to produce high energy performance inward opening or tilt & turn windows leaves. In France, it entitles the owner to tax credits both for replacement and the construction of energy efficient buildings (low energy house label).

 

Performance gives uw = 1.1 W/m²K and Sw = 0.45 with triple glazing. This extremely good thermal performance is obtained in part thanks to an aluminium section between the frame and leaf just 77.9 mm thick and the use of insulating profiles. Using a frame with a 60 mm module, this series combines ideally with the high thermal performance Satin Road® sliding system.

73.6 mm module with 30 mm polyamide strips

 

Glazing

 

This system can cater for both double and triple glazing.

 

Infill thickness from 20 to 54 mm.

 

Sealing

 

Wind and rain weatherproofing is ensured by 2 weather-seals (1 on the frame and 1 on the sash).

 

This system is designed to obtain good thermal performances without using a central gasket that would be costlier and longer to fit.

The leaves can be fitted with 2 types of hardware:
